and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and loving toward all he has made.
The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.
Psalm 145:15-19
This verse is on my heart tonight. Sometimes I think I just can't believe how much the Lord loves me and my family. His heart is for us, it's for you.
We have been going through a season of waiting. We continue to wait and trust the Lord because He has ALWAYS been faithful. He has never left us. Tonight I am meditating on this verse because I need to remember that He satisfies our desires at the proper time. He is loving and so good. He can be trusted even in the waiting, when we can't see what's around the bend and when we can see a glimmer but can't quite get a hold of it.

Hi There!
ReplyDeleteI happened upon your blog tonight (I've become a blog addict ever since my husband, Jeff, and I decided to adopt from Ethiopia)! ;) Jeff and I just completed the homestudy process (wow!) and have recently sent our info to USCIS! We are adopting an infant boy 0 to 6 mos but still have to wait on USCIS before we can be DTE.
Happy to find you along the journey! I wish you peace amidst the "hurry up and wait" of adoption :o) I'll pray for you and your family!
Hey Ang Darlin'! These are excellent words to meditate on. Thanks for sharing them. We sang the following Indellible Grace song yesterday at church and I led worship... I told the other gal I sang with I should meditate on this one all day every day, so I will share it with you in your season of waiting. God bless you, babe... you won't be 'pregnant' forever! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat'er My God Ordains Is Right
text: Samuel Rodigast (1675)
music: David Braud
1. Whate’er my God ordains is right,
Holy His will abideth
I will be still whate’er He does,
And follow where He guideth
He is my God, Though dark my road
He holds me that I shall not fall
Wherefore to Him I leave it all
2. Whate’er my God ordains is right,
He never will deceive me
He leads me by the proper path,
I know He will not leave me
I take, content, what He hath sent
His hand can turn my griefs away
And patiently I wait His day
3. Whate’er my God ordains is right,
Though now this cup in drinking
May bitter seem to my faint heart,
I take it all unshrinking
My God is true, each morn anew
Sweet comfort yet shall fill my heart
And pain and sorrow shall depart
4. Whate’er my God ordains is right,
Here shall my stand be taken
Though sorrow, need, or death be mine,
Yet I am not forsaken
My Father’s care is round me there
He holds me that I shall not fall
And so to Him I leave it all
i've been praying for you today, sista! love you!
